Ora va meglio! - Now it's better!

Sapete che anche un blog produce anidride carbonica?
Ebbene sì!
Ogni blog ha bisogno dell'energia dei server per funzionare ed ogni visitatore, a sua volta, ha bisogno del lavoro dei server... Se calcoliamo che un sito web produce una media di circa 0,02 g di CO2 per ogni visita, assumendo che in un mese vengano visitate 15000 pagine, otteniamo 3,6 kg di CO2 l'anno!
E questo non lo dico io, che in matematica e fisica ero una capra, ma lo sostiene il Dr Alexander Wissner-Gross, attivista ambientale e fisico di Harvard, e scusate se è poco!
Che gli alberi assorbano CO2 lo so anche io, sin dalla scuola elementare... Ma la Convenzione delle Nazioni Unite sui Cambiamenti Climatici (UNFCCC) è riuscita a calcolare che un albero assorbe ogni anno in media circa 10kg di CO2. Noi consideriamo prudentemente 5kg l’anno per ogni albero.
Ne consegue che, piantando un albero, riusciremmo a neutralizzare l'emissione di CO2 del nostro blog e quindi ad avere un blog a impatto 0, per tutta la vita dell'albero stesso, vale a dire per almeno una cinquantina d'anni!

E allora che facciamo, ci armiamo di zappe e ci improvvisiamo giardinieri?
Per chi vuole e può, tanto meglio, ma per fortuna c'è chi ci dà una mano: DOVE CONVIENE favorisce la diffusione di volantini virtuali, anziché cartacei (per darvi un'idea, Ikea e Mediaworld sono solo due fra i tanti grandi nomi che ne usufruiscono), e si impegna a piantare un albero per voi!
Questo team pianta degli alberi in partnership con http://www.iplantatree.org/ , un'iniziativa ecologica tedesca che ha già realizzato opere di riforestazione in diverse aree.
Al momento stanno piantando delle querce a Göritz, un progetto abbastanza importante, con la piantagione di 27,000 alberi su 3,4 ettari. L'area è un terreno soggetto a forestazione per la prima volta e si trova sulla strada B107, sulla destra appena prima di arrivare appunto al piccolo villaggio di Göritz.
Per scoprire qualcosa in più su questo lodevole progetto, sulla scelta delle piante e l'ecosistema in cui si inserisce fate loro una visita QUI e QUI, non costa nulla, anzi ne guadagneremo tutti quanti!

Really!
Every blog needs energy to work and every visitor of our blog needs energy to visit us as well. And all this energy comes from the hard work of servers... If we think that a website produces 0,02 g  of CO2 for every visit, calculating 15000 visits every month, you'll obtain 3,6 kg of CO2 every year!
And it's not Uapa saying that, cos I'm really horrible with math and physics. Dr Alexander Wissner-Gross studied that and he's an enviromental activist and physical scientist at Harvard University!
I've always known trees can absorbe CO2, but United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) calculated that every year a tree can absorbe around 10 kg of CO2 in an year, but to be careful let's say it absorbe "just" 5 kg of CO2.You can easily understand that, planting a tree, we could neutralize the CO2 emission of our blog for all the life of the tree itself, for about the next 50 years!
So, what do we do, start digging, pretending to be gardeners?
For those who are able and can actually do that, good, ok, but luckily someone can lend a hand: THESE PEOPLE promote the use of virtual leaflets, instead of keeping using the paper ones (Ikea and Mediaworld are just two of the many big trademarks who use them), and they'll make the commitment to plant a tree for you!
Together with http://www.iplantatree.org/ , a German echologist initiative, they're re-planting trees in various areas.
At the moment they're planting oaks in Göritz, an important project really: 27,000 trees in a 8,4 acres area, in a place where that never happened before, on the B107 road, on the right, just before arriving in the little village of Göritz.
