Una penna gioiello - A jewel pen

Ciao a tutti!

Hello everyone!
I should dedicate myself to a Fimo request, from 6 months ago, to be delivered for Christmas... But because Fimo inspiration is still far far away and before Christmas I'll have one birthday coming, I threw myself into another project: the jewel pen!
For this creation I've been inspired by an American YouTuber, Nikki, who, as a passion and as a job,  cares about home-decor and organization of your space (at work and at home), unifying practical tips and beauty, and often also keeping things on a budget to be suitable for every pocket!
I leave you the links to her channel and to her blog, cos  I completely fell in love with her! *.*

Here's the jewel pen... I don't think the receiver of this gift visits my blog, but, just in case, I'm posting a picture of MY pen (I made more than one, eh eh, I'll show them to you one day  ^^).

It's a metal pen and it's made out of two main parts, so that you can decorate the upper part with beads of many materials and sizes, so you can customize completely your object and, if you want, you can change the order of the beads and practically have a different pen every time you want! :-D

As you know I adore yellow, so I kept a golden pen for me and I decorated it with golden metal beads and glass lampwork beads, on the tones of gold and amber...
I'm really satisfied of how it turned out: it's super easy to make and it looks so beautiful, also I had really a lot of fun making it! ^^
I hope you like it too, leave me a comment to tell me your opinion ;-)
A rainbow hug! :-*

Cioccolato! - Chocolate!

Ciao a tutti!

Hello everyone!
For once I'll show you some real food! XD
I wanted some chocolate, but I wanted to enjoy a small chocolate, instead of breaking a bit from the whole bar everytime...
So, melted the chocolate bar, filled the molds, let them cool down...

... Et voilà!

Inutile dire che "et voilà": cioccolatini finiti in un nanosecondo ^^'
E vabbè!
Un abbraccio arcobaleno! :-*

No need to say that "et voilà": chocolate finished in a nanosecond ^^'
Oh well!
A rainbow hug! :-*

Scatoline frullato! - Milkshake boxes!

Ciao a tutti!
NO.
Abbiamo viaggiato in macchina! :-D

Hello all!
London-Rome without being scared of falling.
Yes, me.
Did I defeat my fear of flying or, better, of plane crashing?
NO.
We travelled by car! :-D
A long trip, a wonderful trip, that we'll do again for sure *.*

Anyway, today i'm here to show you these little boxes I did some time ago!
The shape is the one of the milk carton and, inspired by these lovely Haribo's soft candies, I decided to decorate the boxes with milkshake/strawberry themes :-)

A big smile and a pink cow that gives directly milkshake! :-D

They're simple and customizable, but I find them cute and, as a good boxes maniac, of course, I also find them very useful :-)
I hope you'll like them too!
A rainbow hug! :-*

Fontane di Roma - Fountains of Rome

Unknown fountains, that people usually never notice, but that I like a lot :-)
I thought I'd share them with you :-)

Borgo Pio.

Borgo Pio. My grandmother grew up here, playing in the shadows of the columns around St Peter's. And she probably drank many times the water of this little fountain, that was built in 1870, during the reign of Pope Pius IX, together with the restoring of Aqua Marcia ( an ancient Roman aqueduct), that then took the name of Aqua Pia.
So, for that reason, even if it's really little and simple, this is one of my favourite fountains :-)

Villa Borghese.

Villa Borghese Gardens. Along the road, not far from Flaminio Square, there's the Fiocco Fountain, built around 1833.
prings and waterfalls flow in the big pool at the bottom, clear and smooth... Oh, so many times I wish I could jump in there, it's really temptating! XD
Of course I can't do it, but someone else can: often, in Spring, a couple of mallards swims peacefully in this fountain, coming from the near lake :-)

Trastevere, San Michele building. I discovered just by fortune the Fontana del Timone (timone means rudder. I wonder why it's called like that!), while I was riding my bike to take pictures of modern Rome, to compare them with those of the old Rome (you find them on Twitter on @RomaSparita profile).
Hidden in the traffic of Lungotevere, in front of the ancient Ripa Grande dock on the river, there's this little fountain, built in 1927, with other seven fountains, that represent the symbols of seven different quarters of Rome.

Santa Maria in Cosmedin (Bocca della Verità-Mouth of Truth). Like the previous one, also this fountain was discovered by luck, while I was ridng in Rome, and it's not even that little to not be seen!
It was built in 1717, during the reign of Pope Clemente XI, and it was used to provide water for horses and various farm animals.
recently it's been moved some metres from its original location.
You can find many picture of an old Rome, where you can see cows and sheep walking around it...

... A time during which Rome just became a capital and it was overwhelmed by too sudden and too brutal changes, that would tranform it once again.
Actually, strong contrasts were always part of this town and maybe it's right that way.
But seeing in a picture a past that disappeared and comparing it with a present, that is often of questionable taste, always impresses me a lot!

Foro Romano.

Roman Forum. This one, as witnessed by the next picture, is the Pigeon Fountain.
Ok, I admit it, I don't have idea of its name or of when it was buitl! XD
It's in a quiet corner of the Forum, where, surrounded by the ruins, you wouldn't be surprised if two real ancient Romans walked near you :-)

And these two pigeons, that weren't scared at all by me, while  was taking pictures, reminded me so much of a Roman fresco, that I couldn't leave them out, don't you agree? :-D

Aiuto.

Help. I mean, I don't have idea of how this fountain is called. The only thing I know is that it's exactly under Pincio's terrace, over Piazza del Popolo, and usually you see it from down there. But going near it is different :-)

Oval Fountain, built in 1908, after the building of the bridge that links Pincio's terrace with Villa Borghese.
I found it wonderful to look at the reflection of poplars in the water of this big fountain and I find it really relaxing to walk around it, cos it's surrounded by green gardens :-)
Anyway, mind that in the Summer it's not always that relaxing: sometimes it's unfairly used as a swimming pool, so it's the chaos, between people bathing and running away when Carabinieri (police) chases them away -_-
Sometimes you can see ducks swimming here too :-)

This is a part of the fountains of Rome that 'm very fond of, for a reason or another. Corners that I know like the pockets of my jeans and that I love.
I hope you'll like them too and I hope one day you can see them for real too... Who knows, maybe they'll remind you a little bit of me? :-)

PS: I was a bit disappointed, cos after one month since I wrote this article, no one commented it. Then I realised I never published it -_-' sorry, I'm just a bit distract ^^'

Campagna - Country

Tanta tanta stanchezza, mani secche, unghie scheggiate e annerite, abiti e capelli impolverati, schiena a pezzi...

Io li trovo belli :-)

This weekend i'm in the country... So many things to do, an old shed to clean and destroy, so much stuff collected by dad in the years (not even Ariel managed to have so many things)!
"Yes, it's broken (read: it hass no possibility to live again), but maybe we'll need it one day" and the only use they have is eating space for more useful things...
You can't imagine how hard it was to collect everything, select it and separate it to throw it in the right bin! °_°'
I'm so tired, my hands are dry, nails are broken and dirty, clothes and hair are full of dust and my back hurts...
But then you stop for a while.
Bees humming and birds singing, the smell of flowers and freshly cut grass, the colours of flowers and the vitality of new leaves...
After this pause I'm so full of energy too and I'm ready to start working again, so satisfied :-)
So I decided to share with you the flowers of my pear tree... I think they're beautiful :-)

Specchio e... - Mirror and...

How original this title can be!
No one could ever imagine I'll talk about a mirror! >.<

Here it is: a simple mirror with a white wooden frame that someone was going to throw away!
To make it look a bit better and not make it disappear on the wall (white too), your Uapa decided to decorate it with some decoupage paper that waited for years a good chance to be used...
The mirror is hanging on a little floor of our little country house. Along the spiral staircase there will be some "four seasons" pictures (iI know I'm always thinking about food, but this time I don't mean the pizza flavour), so I thought the mirror had to follow the same subject, using those same things we actually see in our field :-)

So, when Spring arrives, a bluetit gently jumps among the branches of cherry tree and wild roses...

... Il sole caldo dell'Estate ci regala pesche succose e more dolcissime... Anche gli uccellini sembrano apprezzarne il sapore...

... The warm Summer sun gives us juicy peaches and sweet blackberries... And also little birds seem to appreciate their flavour...

... Then Autumn arrives: colours slowly change, until everything is coloured with gold, brown, copper and a veil of melancholy starts covering things... Luckily figs, pears and grapefruit help making it all sweeter...

... Until you have to give way to the cold Winter. Everything seems grey and without light, almost dead. But here and there some bright colourful spots remind us that nature is just resting a bit. And robins play among the last persimmons left on the bare branches of our little tree.

Then I decided to put this little jar just under the mirror... I think it gives another little bit of life to the two cold seasons, looking at life in the undergrowth :-)

And this is how it looks, what do you think about it?
I thought I'd decorate just the four corners to not risk to make it seem too heavy :-)
And now, so that you know, I didn't forget of the game we were playing for the blog's birthday: so I officially tell you that my favourite Take That was... Gary Barlow! Congratulations to Dyl, who gave the correct answer ^^ even if, as you know, there isn't a prize to win ^^'
A rainbow hug and see you in the next post! :-*

Ciambelle calamita - Magnet donuts

After losing myself on Twitter, YouTube and Wikipedia (where masochist-Uapa read the articles about planes disasters, as if she's not enough scared of flying), here I am to show you more sweets :-D
This time it's about donuts, cos I didn't make any of them for a while!

After the ring version, that you can find HERE, I decided to try the magnet version too, with my classic peg :-)
Donuts are made with Fimo too, like the cakes, and they're stuck on simple wooden pegs :-)

A little cherry shows itself on a vanilla icing, together with sweet chocolate waves...

Per i fans di Homer Simpson ;-)
Dedicated to Homer Simpson's fans ;-)

Vanilla icing and strawberry buttons...
Uh, good these donuts aren't real, I'm hungry already!
A rainbow hug to you all, see you in the next post! :-*

Bambola Cosplay! - Cosplay Doll!

All I can say s this is the very first dress I sewed!!!
I started by drawing its shape on double fabric, and I used some pins to stop it...

I cut it and I sewed it, leaving the holes for head, legs and arms...

Ho rigirato tutto...

I turned it all inside out...

And I added a lace collar ^^ with my own personal method, so it's not straight at all ^^ '

Our model posing with the dress and its shoes and hair ribbons... ;-)

And while I change the filter of the picture, I'll tell you this doll will be with Wednesday Addams at Romics, on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 April 2013...

And because Wednesday couldn't go there all alone, she'll go there with her mother Morticia Addams, displayed or, better, cosplayed by your Uapa!!! XD
I prefer the one in black and white, but anyway...
Don't you think this frame fits better? ;-D

A big pink hug to you all, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow Uapa-Morticia, Wednesday and the doll in black will wait for you at Romics 2013! :-*

Aspettando Romics 2011... - Waiting for Romics 2011...

Yes, I know Romics event finished already and I must say I had a lot of fun there ^^
But unfortunately, the only pc I can use to keep typing in my blog is the old coal-computer of the office, that works with Windows 63 b. C. (20 minutes just to close Windows Paint), so publishing all the pictures of the Romica is a hard work that requires a looong time to be done ^^ '
But don't worry, they'll be here soon!
While waiting, I'll show you a little thing I made about something that really happened (e-mail me for the English version... Uipo, that's especially for you XD )...

... Quindi sono molto soddisfatta del risultato XD
Vi piace questo mio Charlot? ^^

I know, scanners exist since thousands years by now, but I never used one... -_-'
... So I'm really satisfied by the result XD
Do you like my Charlot?

> Un sacco di cose! - A lot of things!

Finalmente ho digerito! XD
E so già che fine farà... PAUUURAAA BUAAAH!!! ç_ç

Finally I could digest what I ate! XD

And finally I came back, even if a bit aching, cos of the second wisdom tooth, that's growing and pushing other teeth... And I already know what will happen to it... I'M SO SCAAARED SIIIIGH!!! ç_ç
This is a little mosaic of the Torrita Tiberrina fair... Alwaysremember to keep your camera clean or you'll have not focused pictures, just like these ones -_-'

Vi ricordate il tappetino che avevo iniziato?

Ecco qui il secondo quadratino completato... Non vedo l'ora di finirlo! ^^

Do you remember the little rag I started?

Here's the second little square I finished... I'm looking forward to finish it all! ^^

E, importantissimo!
:-)

And, important! I'll partecipate to Pietrincanto's Giveaway, crossing all my fingers and even toes to win a great prize... Rules are really simple, try and you'll see!
:-)

Now I come back in my little corner, moaning for my tooth and my fear, waiting for Saturday to come: Steve will visit me ^

> Capacità di adattamento ai cambiamenti di Uapa... - Uapa's ability to adapt herself to changes...

... = 0.
... = 0.
"Recovering" from the market took me ages, as you could notice
XDI didn't take a picture of my little Seicento Mimma ç_çShame, cos it deserves it... Even if it's really little, it can carry a lot of things :-)Anyway, this is a picture of my little table, that grew in height after a sudden and misterious loss of space... A little spare table and a rainbow flag (of course -_-') helped me a lot :-)And a big help came from my cousin Uipipiui too :-)

And, even if this picture is a little bit dark, this is the sunset we saw from the Casperia belvedere, with a beautiful Jupiter on the left :-)

E il mercatino?!
E' andato benissimo!!!
:-DChe dire... Corrooo a prepararmi!
Un abbraccio a tutti!
:-*

And how did the market go?!
It was great!!! So great I need to rush and prepare new things for the next market, on Friday and Saturday, in
Torrita Tiberina! :-D
Well, I need to run and get readyyy!
Big hug to you all! :-*

> Mercatino! - Little market!

Secondo me, ne vale la pena ;-)
