Piccolo incidente... - ...Little accident

... Non alla 500 arcobaleno, ma alla 600 blu, la mia Mimma, con cui Uapa ha tamponato l'auto di fronte, nel modo più stupido possibile :-(
Tranquilli, nulla di grave, per fortuna eravamo appena partite, qundi nessun danno... Almeno spero... O almeno è quanto ha detto l'altra ragazza, sull'altra auto... Ma non si sa mai!
Per quanto riguarda me, solo il polso destro mi fa un pissichino male, perché invece di ammortizzare la botta mi sono irrigidita come un ciocco di legno (che furba! >.< ), e un po' di torcicollo (ma credo dipenda dalla posizione assurda in cui ho dormito -_-' )...
A parte ciò, nulla da dichiarare!
L'importante comunque è che sia io che l'altra ragazza siamo ancora in piedi a raccontare questa cosa, tutto il resto non conta!

Don't worry, nothing too bad, we just started moving when that happened, so no damage... At least I hope... Or at least that's what the other girl said about her car... But you never know!
As for me, just my right wrist is aching a little bit, cos I didn't make it quite elastic during the accident (so smart I am! >.< ), and aching neck too (but I think that depens on the absurd position I slept in -_-' )...
Apart from that, everything seems ok!
The important thing anyway is that me and the other girl can still talk about that on our own legs, who cares about the rest!

Quel mazzolin di fiori...! - Little bunch of flowers!

Mi rendo conto che la foto è orribile (sfondo formica sotto luce a neon), ma proprio non vedevo l'ora di farvi vedere questi fiorellini! Perché sono i primi fimo-fiori che faccio, senza spiaccicarli durante la lavorazione! *.*

I know the picture is horrible (formica background under neon light), but I was really looking forward to show you these little flowers! Cos they're the first Fimo clay-flowers I made, without squeezing them while working on them! *.*

Avevo trovato il tutorial su internet, secoli fa, ed ora ovviamente non riesco più a rintracciare quella pagina, ma ricordo i passaggi, tutti deliziosamente semplici :-)Quindi, grazie ai potenti mezzi della tecnologia e grazie alla mia incredibile sapienza nel campo dell'informatica e dell'arte, ecco a voi le istrussioni per realizzare questi fiorellini ^^

I found the tutorial online, ages ago, and obviously now I can't find that page anymore, but I can remember all the steps, all really simple :-)So, thanking the powerful tools of technology and thanking my incredible knowledge about computer science and art, here you have the instructions to make your own flowers ^^

1) Fate una pallina di Fimo...
1) Make a little clay ball...

2) Schiacciando e arrotolando un lato della pallia, ottenete una specie di cono...
2) Pressing and rolling one side of the ball, you'll obtain a cone from it...

3) Con l'aiuto di un pennello o di qualunque altra cosa che abbia una punta abbastanza stondata, cominciate a "scavare" la base del vostro cono, più o meno come se doveste piantare un ombrellone nella sabbia...
3) With the help of a paint brush or of anything that has a quite rounded tip, start exscavating the base of your cone, just like you'd do to plant a beach umbrella in the sand...

4) Otterrete un nuovo cono, dall'interno cavo...
4) So you'll have a new cone, that will be empty inside...

5) A questo punto, con delle forbicine (che sembrino meno minacciose di quelle che ho disegnato), tagliate il cono in cinque parti, in modo da ottenere i cinque petali. Nel tagliare, ricordate di lasciare intatta la punta del cono, che poi è a parte che tiene insieme tutti i petali!
5) At this point, with a pair of scissors (hoping they look less dangerous than the one I drew), cut the cone in five parts, so you'll have the five petals. While cutting, remember to not cut the tip of the cone, cos it's the part that keeps together all the petals!

Una volta fatto ciò, non vi resta che aprire tutti i petali verso l'esterno e modellare la forma di ogni petalo come più preferite: potete lasciarli così o stondarli un po', creare delle piccole ondine o renderli frastagliati, lasciarli lisci o creare delle piccole venature...
Per concludere, potete rifinire l'interno del fiore aiutandovi col pennello, accentuando un pochino di più l'incavo del fiore.
Credetemi, è facile facile e tanto d'effetto :-)
L'unica cosa a cui fare attenzione è non schiacciare i fiori con troppa forza, come ho fatto io per anni, rendendo inutili tutti i miei sforzi ç_çPer tenerli insieme, proprio per evitare di deformarli con la pressione, ho usato dei chiodini per orecchini... Credo che così tutto possa essere anche più resistente... Staremo a vedere :-)

Once you did that, the only thing you need to do is open all the petals and give them all the shape you prefer: you can leave them like that or make them more round, you can create little waves or make them jagged, leave them smooth or make little lines on them...
To finish, you can again use the paint brush handle to emphasize the cavity of the flower.
Believe me, it's really really simple and it looks so good :-)
The only thing you need to bear in mind is to not press the flowers with too much strength, as I did for years, killing all my previous little works ç_ç
To keep the flowers together, to avoid that, I used little nails you use to make earrings... And I think that makes the whole thing more strong too... We'll see :-)

Le Ricette di Uapa - Uapa's Recipes

Buongiorno a tutti!
Anche in Inghiltera, almeno in quell'angolo di Inghilterra che conosco, la Domenica è un giorno di festa in cui le famiglie si riuniscono per un bel pranzo tutti insieme... E la mamma di Steve, Marsha, che è anche un'ottima cuoca, a fine pranzo presenta sempre un bel dolce, per chiudere in bellezza e golosità :-)
E, appena assaggiata, mi sono innamorata della strafamosa Cheesecake, tanto che mi sono fatta dare la ricetta per poterla provare poi a casa ^^
Sì, lo so che avei potuto trovare la ricetta ovunque su Internet o sui libri di cucina, ma presa direttamente da una mamma Inglese mi sembrava più vera XD
Così mi sono detta "Perché non condividere con tutti i blogger questa mia esperienza culinaria?" ...
La risposta è semplice: perché a volte sono proprio una pasticciona!

Good morning everyone!
In England too, well at least in that corner of England I know, Sunday is a special day during which people of a family have lunch all together... And Steve's mum, Marsha, who's also a great chef, at the end of the lunch always give us some sweet dish, to finish lunch in a lovely and gluttonous way :-)
And, as soon as I tried it, I fell in love with the famous Cheesecake, and I copied its recipe to try it at home ^^
Yes, I know I could find the recipe everywhere on the net or in recipes books, but aking it directly from an English mum make it seems more real XD
So I thought "Why don't you share this cooking experience with all the bloggers?" ...
The answer is really simple: cos sometimes I can really be a bungler!

Ad then I forgot to take other pictures, cos I was too busy and concentrated in mixing, crumbling, smearing, whipping, protecting (tiles), tasting! >.<

Uaparfume, the new fragrance, from Uapa.

Questa è una storia vera, che non sarebbe mai accaduta se papà non avesse portato a casa un ramo di Mimosa.

Non un rametto o un ciuffetto. Un ramo.

Dopo lunghe lotte per sistemarlo nel vaso e dopo rapide corse per sottarlo alle fauci della Mimosivora Birba, abbiamo potuto finalmente apprezzare il suo delizioso profumo, così dolce, così ricco di energia e così... Giallo ^^

Poi, quel pomeriggio accadde qualcosa.

Qualcuno lavò accuratamente un vecchio vaso di vetro e prese un bicchierino da caffè in plastica come dosatore... Poi cominciò ad aggirarsi per la casa con fare sospetto... Una parte di acqua del rubinetto... Due parti di alcol purissimo, recuperato nell'angolo più nascosto dello sportello dei liquori... Tanti tanti tanti pallini gialli, staccati qui e là dal ramo di mimosa, cercando di non creare buchi troppo vistosi tra i fiori... Una bella mescolata ed un luogo buio e tranquillo dove far riposare il tutto...

Qualche giorno dopo...

Here's a true story, that would never happen if dad didn't bring home a branch of Mimosa.
Not a bunch. A branch.
After a long fight to put it in the right vase and after quick races to save it from Mimosivorous Birba, we could finally appreciate its lovely smell, so sweet, so full of energy and so... Yellow ^^
Then, that afternoon something happened.
Someone washed with care an old glass jar and used a little coffee plastic glass as dispenser... Then she started moving in the flat with suspicious movements... One part of tap water... Two parts of pure alcohol, took in the most hidden corner of the alcoholics shelf... A lot of little yellow balls picked up here and there from the mimosa's branch, trying to not make holes among the flowers... A shuffle and a dark and safe place where to leave it and make it rest...
Some days after that...

MM: Cos'è quel barattolo? :-S

UU: Eh eh, mamma, non trovi che abbia proprio un bel colore? Fra il giallo e l'ambra ;-)

MM: Uhm... Sì, a parte quella roba marroncina che ci galeggia dentro... :-S

UU: Eh eh, questo è un esperimento a cui sto lavorando da giorni. Ed erano anni che aspettavo di poterlo fare. Finalmente il gran giorno è arrivato, ora posso aprire il barattolo ed annusarne la fragranza! *.*

MM: ... :-S

UU: Nghhh accipicchia quanto l'ho stretto bene... Stucc svit svit svit svit stapp! Ecco ci siamo... Una mescolatina e poi... Sniff sniff...!

MM: ...

UU:

MM: ?

UU: ò_O' !!!

MM: Ma cos'è?!

UU: Cetriolo o forse zucchina lessa sottaceto x_x

MM: Oh. Ma... Cosa doveva essere invece?

UU: Un soave profumo primaverile alla mimosa ç_ç

MM: Ma... Io non ho mai sentito di un profumo alla mimosa... Credo...

UU: Beh, volevo inventarlo io ç_ç

UU: Eh eh, mum, don't you think it really has a lovely colour? Between yellow and amber ;-)
MM: Uhm... Yes, apart from that light brown stuff floating in it... :-S
UU: Eh eh, this is an experiment I've worked on for several days. and I waited for years to do it. Finally this great day arrived, now I can open the jar and smell its fragrance! *.*
MM: ... :-S
UU: Nghhh oh I really closed it with srength... Stucc screw screw screw screw stapp! Here we are... I stir it just a bit and then... Sniff sniff...!

MM: ...

UU:

MM: ?

UU: ò_O' !!!

MM: What is it?!
UU: Cucumber or maybe boiled courgette with vinegar x_x
MM: Oh. Ehm... What should it be instead?
UU: A delicate spring smell of mimosa ç_ç
MM: Oh... I've never heard of a mimosa perfume actually... I think...
UU: Well, I wanted to invent it ç_ç

Credetemi, il peggior odore che mi sia mai capitato di sentire dopo la Pitaya Rossa del Labello!

Posso davvero dire che questo esperimento non è riuscito.

Ma non mi arrendo!!! >.<

Believe me, the worse smell I could smell after the Red Pitaya of the Labello lip balm!
I can definitely say this experiment has failed.
But i don't give up!!! >.<
